NEW Publix Coupon Policy Starts 5/23/11!!

You may have heard that Publix is putting out a NEW corporate coupon policy, or, rather, updating it. As I look at it, I don't see many changes that will affect the way I shop. Most of the changes are fair, or, more than fair in my opinion! Take a peek! I think this updated policy will help many shoppers stay easily withing the rules!

Posted is the new policy that goes into effect on May 23, 2011. This is the official coupon policy that has been released. You should be able to find this policy, in print/on paper, at your customer service desk. It will likely look like the one shown. Check the back for the specific competitors that your particular Publix store will accept coupons from.

Publix Corporate Coupon Policy Breakdown:

  1. Publix accepts manufacturers' coupons (limit one per item), Publix coupons (originals only - no copies), valid Internet coupons, and coupons from nearby competitors identified by each Publix store. (Competitor names are posted at each Publix store.)
  2. We will accept coupons from competing pharmacies for prescriptions only.
  3. We will not accept percent-off items or percent-off-total-order coupons.
  4. We will only accept coupons for identical merchandise we sell. Acceptance is subject to any restrictions on the coupon, and we reserve the right to limit quantities.
  5. Manager approval is needed for individual coupons above $5.00.
  6. For a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGO) offer, each item is considered a separate sale. We will accept a manufacturer's coupons and either a Publix or a competitor coupon on the same item.
  7. Dollars-off-total-order coupons will be limited to one Publix and one competitor coupon per order.
  8. The order total must be equal to or greater than the total purchase requirements indicated on the coupon(s) presented.
One great thing I noticed about the policy is that Publix will allow a Publix dollar-off of your total order coupon AS WELL AS a competitor (like Albertson's) dollar-off total order coupon per transaction. This is a great deal and a more than fair offering from Publix! It is GREAT to see it in writing, so there will be no arguments from cashiers. Just show your printed copy of the coupon policy (that you pick up at customer service) if there are any issues! I hope this helps you all shop Publix better and with more confidence!
